Our work
A closer look at two projects — an offline-first fleet management app, and a large-scale platform migration handling live customer traffic. Each one shaped by the same standard: engineering that holds up once it leaves the demo.
A fleet management company needed a driver-facing mobile app with live GPS tracking and geofencing alerts — but drivers regularly operate in areas with poor or no cellular connectivity. A typical "always-online" app architecture would fail exactly where it mattered most: mid-route, out of signal range.
Built offline-first from the ground up rather than retrofitting connectivity handling after the fact — background location tracking, geofence evaluation, and alert logic all run locally on-device, with data queued and synced automatically once connectivity returns. Battery and CPU profiling were treated as first-class concerns throughout, not an afterthought.
Shipped live on the App Store, achieving 75% offline operation — meaning the large majority of the app's core functionality keeps working with zero live connection. This directly reduced backend server load, since the app isn't dependent on constant round-trips to function.
A Singapore-based delivery business needed a complete multi-sided platform — not just one app, but a connected system serving three distinct user types: customers ordering deliveries, riders fulfilling them, and stores managing their own listings and orders.
Built as one connected ecosystem rather than disconnected apps: native customer apps for iOS and Android, a dedicated rider app for delivery logistics, a store panel for merchant operations, an admin panel for internal management, and a public-facing ordering website — all synced to shared, real-time order data.
Six live components shipped and in production — customer apps published on the App Store and Google Play, alongside the rider app, store panel, admin panel, and website — actively running Viva Loca's day-to-day delivery operations.
